One of my favorite families...

I had the pleasure of meeting one of my favorite families to do their Christmas pictures. We had a great time. I experienced a few "firsts" while doing this shoot. I had never had a family pet in the shot and it was fun. Usually during my family shoots with small children, I have to bark, clap, chirp, whistle...you know, silly stuff. So I was excited that I had the chance to just say, "smile" and get on with business, but Tex had other plans.

I spent a good bit of my time there saying, "Tex, treat? Tex! Tex, treat? Tex, squirrel. Tex...Tex. Tex, treat?" All of those worked like magic, until we tried, "Tex, walk?" Yea...he wanted to walk.

I say this is one of my favorite families because they are so loving and close. I love the bond that the sweet brothers have.

I love how close the boys are.

And I totally adore the way mom and dad feel about each other. They are a true inspiration to me.

Thanks for giving me the chance to help you preserve your precious memories. I had a great time.

brother and sister

i love sweet sibling shots

i do not know if these two are always so sweet toward eachother, but it melted my heart to see them interact

these two were real troopers, did i mention that it was a whopping 47 degrees outside, with some killer wind happening as well?

we were in and out in less than 30 minutes, they were so well behaved and cooperative

do you think it was because they were afraid if they were not, it might take longer?

i felt so bad for this tiny little princess, she looked beautiful, purple skin, blue lips and all! (just joking, it was not that bad...yet!)

they were a real joy to work with, it was a referral from a friend and i was so happy to have them

i just love little kids, boys especially, you know, since i have 3 of them of my own!

i love these kinds of shots, i was very happy when she asked for a few

they are just so personal and show the depth of love

what a little man

he was so happy, he was smiling at mom, grandma and sister (who by the way was snuggled up inside my jacket, warming up on the bench beside us

they were super happy, especially considering the harsh temps

is this not the sweetest? and no, we did not pose him that way

all she wants for Christmas...well, you get it

even Ms P is not too big for some mommy lovin'

thank you so much for letting me be a part of your Christmas memories

baby's first christmas

Nothing says "Texas" like cowboy boots...

well, except for maybe the beautiful blue eyed baby boy...

who is wearing the boots.

love this little one, isn't he just the cutest?

we tried, and tried and TRIED to get this little beauty to smile for us, he just was not having any of it

he proved that you do not have to smile to be beautiful

you can just smirk ;0)

mommy, daddy and baby b

mommy and daddy

what's so funny?

kisses from mommy

smooches from daddy

What troopers!

First let me start by saying that these 2 are such great little troopers! Today the high was a whopping 47! They were so wonderful (despite turning a bit purple) and photogenic. I loved this shoot. I have to say it was by far one of my quickest ever. Mainly because of the harsh wind and temp but also because they were just that easy. Oh, and did I mention that they are both sick? Poor babies, did not feel well and still did such a marvelous job!

Mom wanted to get a Christmas card out so I am hoping she loves this picture as much as I do!

Thanks so much for the great day!
